Gardening is the number 1 hobby in the US today, yet most people think of gardening as in rose gardens, or where to plant the azalea bush. In the same space, with the same or less effort, most don’t realize they could have a tomato plant, or a bell pepper, or even a potato plant. For my time, money and efforts, and to my eye, there’s no prettier ground cover than a sweet potato plant. What could be more beautiful than a Japanese eggplant in blossom? The most aesthetic plant I’ve ever seen is a Ping Tung eggplant with 10 or 20 eggplants 2 feet long, hanging throughout the plant.
